2 Sisters Who Are Set out to challenge stereotypes
As black women ourselves, we noticed a gap in the fashion industry. Black women were often portrayed as strong, assertive, strong-willed, or over sexualized.
And while some of these qualities seem admirable, when you remove the softness, gentleness, and delicate nature from a woman, you remove her womanhood.
And so, Tiana Bay was born to challenge the cultural stereotypes.
And while doing so, we started to noticed another negative spirit moving in the femininity space. Divine femininity or dark femininity. We believe God created femininity not to be idolized but cherished and enjoyed. So our focus is to glorify God through fashion. We do not believe in femininity as a divine entity.
